Communities throughout the Cambridge portfolio hosted resident events during the week of Easter including goody bags, egg hunts, cupcake decorating and more.

Pioneer Village Senior in Moses Lake, Washington was voted into second place for best apartment community in the entire Columbia Basin in the Columbia Basin Herald: 2022 Best of the Basin.

The north building of the CMI Tacoma campus got a new paint job and a face lift over the summer, moving away from salmon and stone to a cool gray-blue and crisp white trim. This building is home to the reception team, Compliance, Human Resources, Marketing, and Tacoma-based Property Management staff.

Vancouver, WA – Apartment seekers can now apply for residency at Columbia Gardens, a newly constructed affordable housing community off Northeast 112th Avenue. The community has 42 two-bedroom, 51 three-bedroom, and 30 four-bedroom apartments designed to be affordable for those who make at or less than 60% of the area median income. The first apartments will be ready in late 2022.

The first major renovation in decades of Chipola Apartments in downtown Marianna is underway now, the work being done floor-by-floor, from the top down. Fifth-floor apartments are undergoing their transformations now and residents are generally being put up in area hotels for about a month, on average, as their areas become part of the workspace, and then moved back.

Tacoma, WA – Senator Maria Cantwell, distinguished guests, management team, and residents celebrated the grand opening of Oak Trace Apartments with a ribbon cutting, refreshments, and tours. “Tacoma, like many parts of the country, is facing an affordable housing crisis. According to the State Department of Commerce, there are only 12 affordable and available units of housing for every 100 extremely low-income families in Tacoma,” said Cantwell.

The Washington State Housing Finance Commission (WSHFC) Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program allows Mason Avenue Apartments to lease homes below fair-market rates to residents who make 50 percent of the area median income (AMI) or less.

Mason Avenue Apartments in Tacoma, WA celebrated its grand opening January 13th. The mayor of Tacoma, Marilyn Strickland, and City Council Member Keith Blocker spoke to residents and guests about the much-needed affordable housing Mason Avenue brings to the Tacoma community.

Several resident ambassadors opened their homes for guided tours. Afterward, residents and guests enjoyed refreshments and cake. We are so excited to officially welcome Mason Avenue Apartments to the Cambridge family of communities! 

Affordable Housing News (AHN) interviewed our director, Jennifer Wood, for a feature in their Spring 2016 issue. 

AHN specializes in keeping affordable housing professionals up-to-date on developments and achievements in the industry. In the article "Exceptional Quality and Compliance," AHN outlines how Cambridge rises to the challenges of a growing industry.

Cambridge communities in Chehalis, WA host this annual Easter egg hunt. For eight years, Kathy, the community manager at Southcreek Apartments has orchestrated this event to bring the neighborhood together. Beginning in January, community members helped fill 18,000 eggs. Local businesses donated snacks and prizes. About 600 people, including families from the Cambridge apartment communities, the Lewis County homeless shelter, and the neighborhood attended this year's event. Attendees enjoyed cake, goodies, and of course an egg hunt. 

Cambridge Management, Inc. ranked at number 38 on the 2016 National Affordable Housing Management Association's (NAHMA) Affordable 100 list with 9,643 affordable housing units. On its website, NAHMA says: The NAHMA Affordable 100 comprises the largest affordable multifamily property management companies, ranked by affordable unit counts. The NAHMA Affordable 100 list contributes vital data to the ongoing national dialogue on the future of federal funding for affordable housing.
